Sasha Carassi’s summer hit gets the full remix treatment and Chicago Loop is up first with his beefed-up version, sprinkled with the Original’s chopped-up chords and an epic breakdown. Alberto Ruiz is next with a more dubbed-out approach, letting his airtight rhythm section do all the talking. Frankyeffe takes us on a cavernous ride, complete with the familiar progressions and tasty squelches, which ultimately lead us to Taster Peter’s pad-led remix that relies heavily on the synths as it stomps away.
- The name Chicago Loop has been gaining some momentum within the last year, but the man behind the alias is certainly not a newcomer to the scene. Ant Wilson, or Ant to his friends, has been producing electronic music and travelling the globe playing shows for the last 22 years.
- Within a fairly short space of time, Chicago Loop has secured releases on major labels such as Respekt, Gate Null, Renesanz and Toolroom, (courtesy of a Filterhead mix compilation) and his tracks have received support from some of the scenes biggest players.
- Always busy in the studio continually writing more techno and with many big releases being secured, including remixes for Sasha Carassi and Spartaque for early 2016, Chicago Loop is certainly making some big waves in the techno scene right now.
- In addition to producing music, Chicago Loop also works as a vinyl mastering and cutting engineer for Vinyl Carvers, a leading specialist in manufacturing one-off vinyl and dub plates for DJ's and producers as well as clients from the music and television media industry.
